A Detailed View About Static Line System

Share

A static line system is a popular roof safety system. The application of a static line system can be widely noted in the construction area, roof management, and also used in sky diving. The static line system has a general setup that induces confidence in people to perform their job. The firm set up of the system its stronghold can make it more dependable and reliable. The proper static line system placed over the roof can withstand any kind of major endurance.

Setup of Static Line System:

Static line systems can be classified into two basic types based on the way they can be arranged. One is a horizontal static lining system and the other one is a vertical static lining system.

Types of Static Line System:

  • Horizontal Static Line System: Horizontal static line system is arranged as the name explains. A horizontal static line system is attached over the roof and the lining will be extended based on the extension needed. The anchoring is done in multiple places depending on the safety. The horizontal static line system is anchored and roped with stainless steel in order to provide a stronghold and are long. Usually, the horizontal static line system is installed over the building that has cement roof plates. The anchor will be stronger enough to arrest the fall in both the lining systems.
  • Vertical Static Line System: Vertical static line system will work efficiently in preventing falls to avoid any accidents. This static lining system is applied to the laborers who have to work in risky zones that have no support on the roofs for any kind of operations. This type of lining system provides enough room for the person to roam around. The hanging rope is fixed with the central anchor which will be holding around 15% of the rope around it. This will provide a better grip and better hold over the rope when working.

The classification is further divided into many types in detail as follows:

1. Fall Resistant:

Fall resistant static line system ensures the hold within a certain limit. The worker will be restricted within the fixed boundary. They cannot reach the area outside the boundary without making any kind of adjustments in the anchor.

2. Fall Arrest:

This type of line system will provide an excessive limit to access the area and also the rope will be available excessively that can enable to work throughout. The excessive rope can let the worker resist a fall to save a life. Even though the worker faces the falling encounter it can be arrested with the hold of anchor.

3. Multi-rope Arrest:

This type of static fall system l has multiple ropes attached to the anchor. This is a combination of both the fall arrest mechanism and the fall restriction mechanism. In this setup, one of the ropes will be provided with maximum extensions whereas the other rope will resist the movement. To exceed the area outside the limit the rope should have to get adjusted. So, the worker is able to access the region outside the limit. The limit can be extended by using this type of static line system.

4. Fall Clearance Line System:

A type of fall system in which the length of the rope will be equal enough for the worker to reach the ground. In case of free fall, the user can be protected with this length of rope that he had anchored. The worker will have strong control over the rope that he has attached to the anchor. The worker can be able to restrict himself from free falls and they can also be able to perform free falls. The arrest will not take place here as we have a rope that is long enough to withstand the height.
